Medovik Honey Cake
The Medovik honey cake, dates back from the era of the Russian empire. Made by a young chef in the in 17 century that sought to impress the Empress Elizabeth Alexeievna who allegedly hated honey. One day, the chef unknowingly presented this cake to the empress, who was delightfully impressed. As one of the most time consuming cakes to make, the Medovik Russian cake is soft, crusty and perfectly sweet with layers of cream for a tangy twist. Highly addictive and highly delicious.
Best enjoyed chilled.
