The Brooklyn Blackout cake (originating from- you guessed it: Brooklyn) is a moist, fluffy, and tender three-layer-chocolate cake separated by a melty, creamy, INSANELY chocolatey filling. The filling of this cake requires many hours to achieve a perfectly glossy-smooth custard and pudding like consistency. Soft cake crumbs coat the outside of this cake to assist in enclosing a fantastic explosion of chocolate flavour. Truly the ultimate two-pound chocolate cake. Gorgeous. Delicious. Insanely velvety and crumbly. Ridiculously good. 

Some History: This divine treat was allegedly created by the Brooklyn based bakery chain named Ebinger's as recognition to the mandatory blackouts in during World War II to protect the Brooklyn navy yard.
